Meet Dr. Popilsky!

Dr. Ben Popilsky & Associates is located at 7551 Soquel Dr., Aptos, California.  Since 1993, Dr. Popilsky has been in practice in this office, which was originally established in Aptos in the 1970s by Drs. Loggins & Isenberg.

Dr. Popilsky has practiced Optometry in Santa Cruz County since 1988.  He worked with Ophthalmologists and other Optometrists from Scotts Valley to Watsonville before he purchased this practice, and continues to do so.  Dr. Popilsky received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1988.  Prior to that, he received his undergraduate degree here at UCSC.

Meet Dr. Lau!

Dr. Bonnie Lau was born and raised in Piedmont, California.  She received her undergraduate degree from UC Santa Cruz in biology and received her doctor of optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry.  Dr. Lau has interned at VA Salt Lake City and Hu Hu Kam Memorial Indian hospital where she developed her skills in diagnosing and managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other eye disease.

Dr. Lau is licensed to prescribe medication for a range of eye conditions, from ocular allergy and infection to glaucoma.  Dr. Lau is TLG certified, the most advanced therapeutic license in California optometry.  She is especially interested in low vision rehabilitation, where she has developed her skills from her internships at the Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica and the Maryanne Walls Low Vision Clinic in Fullerton, CA.  Dr. Lau looks forward to providing you and your family the highest quality eye care in a friendly and respectful environment.
