Dear Patients,
In order to completely and accurately
assess your ocular health, and to adhere to the Standard of Care
for the Optometric profession, we now offer you a choice at each
yearly exam:
The Optomap Retinal Exam:
Takes a comprehensive digital image of your retina in less than
one second. We’ll discuss the results together
during your visit, and monitor any changes at each exam.
Or
Dilation: This is the “old way” of
doing things. It’s still effective, but some patients find
it slightly uncomfortable as the dilation can last between four
to eight hours (depending on the person).
